📅 Walking Shoes

The most important investment you can make. The right shoe prevents injury and makes walking comfortable enough to stay consistent.

How to choose: Look for a wide toe box (your toes need room), good arch support, and cushioning suited to your surface (more cushion for pavement, firmer for trails). Replace your shoes every 300–500 miles.

🤅 Weighted Vests

Used in our 4-Week and 7-Month programs, weighted vests are the single most effective way to increase the intensity of your walks without walking faster or longer.

How much weight? Start with 5–10% of your body weight. If you weigh 160 lbs, that's 8–16 lbs. Start at the lower end and increase as you build strength. Never use a weighted vest if you have back, shoulder, or joint problems without consulting your doctor first.
